The 55th Congress of the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation which had been scheduled for 7 to 10 June, in Banff, Alberta had to be cancelled due to Covid19, but a winner of the Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis Foundation’s prize for best abstract on autoimmune encephalitis was picked from a crop of brilliant submissions.
We are delighted to announce the winner of the Prize – Dr. Adrian Budhram. Dr. Budhram’s work was recently published in the Journal of Neurology. You can read the publication abstract here: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00415-020-10007-1
We are grateful to Dr. Budhram for providing us the following insightful summary of the article.
Dr. Budhram brings his knowledge and passion for autoimmune neurology to this publication, and back to Canada, as he has accepted a faculty position at Western University (London, Ontario). We look forward to hearing much more from him in the future and are pleased to provide a brief biography here.
Finally, a huge thank you to all the donors that have contributed to the Foundation, thereby making the funding for this prize possible.
