Dr. Tadeu A. Fantaneanu, also known as Dr. Tad to his patients, is an Assistant Professor with the University of Ottawa and a Clinician Teacher and Associate Neurologist within the Department of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate medical education at McGill University (2009) and adult neurology residency at the University of Ottawa (2014). He subsequently completed fellowships in Clinical neurophysiology (2015) and Advanced Epilepsy (2016) at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. During this time, he also completed the Program in Clinical Effectiveness through the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Tad is working to establish a comprehensive epilepsy program in Ottawa, Ontario and is currently the director of the EEG laboratory and adult epilepsy program at the Ottawa Hospital.
His areas of interest include transitional care in epilepsy, critical care EEG monitoring, pharmacoresistant and surgical epilepsy, women’s health in epilepsy as well as medical education.
