Driving After Recovery from Antibody Mediated Encephalitis (AME)
Posted on July 29, 2020
Our thanks to Dr. Gregory Day, the Foundation’s Clinical Director for this tremendous pilot study, that looks at the driving behaviours of those that have returned to driving after their illness. It clearly shows how the return to driving and consequently to a more independent and autonomous life can be continuously monitored and as a possible parallel measure of the recovered patient’s cognitive improvement and functional recovery. This study, although small, illustrates that meaningful recoveries can be made.
