Thank you and Congratulations – Travel Award Recipient

The Foundation would like to thank all those neurology and psychiatry trainees who applied for the Foundation’s Travel award to attend the Symposium titled Autoimmune Encephalitis: The Bridge between Neurology and Psychiatry, at Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York City, on April 6th.

It was truly a very hard decision to choose one trainee, as all the applicants were outstanding. Although we would have liked to send them all, at this juncture of our Foundation’s young life, we could only choose one. We would therefore like to congratulate Dr. Christopher E. Uy, senior neurology resident at the University of British Columbia Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia and a Partner Physician of the Foundation.

We feel honoured to be able to contribute to the training of young, Canadian neurologists in this way and in the knowledge that what they take away will be further disseminated to their fellow trainees and medical students once they come back to Canada.

We look forward to future opportunities to send out Canadian trainees for the benefit of all future Autoimmune Encephalitis patients.

It also needs to be mentioned, that these opportunities are being made available as a direct result of all the generous donations that have been made to support our work. Thank you for your continuing support.
